Community Outreach – Tree Planting

April 22, 2022 Davao Chong Hua High School, in a show of unity and joint collaboration with representatives from the Board of Trustees, the Administration, the Alumni Association, the Parent-Teacher Association, the teachers, non-teaching staff, and the students conducted tree-planting activity in a barangay in Matina Aplaya as part of its community service. This tree-planting activity has been a yearly activity of the school except for 2020 and 2021 when the COVID-19 pandemic made it impossible for face-to-face meetings.

Believing in the importance of a sound ecology, looming climate change, and threatening global warming, this worthwhile endeavor aims to awaken everybody’s attention on the importance of saving Mother Earth. 150 seedlings were planted in a mangrove area of Matina Aplaya. Wishing for a better world for the future generation, DCHHS hopes to maintain this activity yearly. Cheers to all who eagerly participated!
